  • Terminal Services Home Directory

Hello. I set up a DFS share for our terminal services roaming profiles and home directories since we have Terminal servers are different sites (but in the same domain).

It's been working for many months for roaming profiles, but now when I try to set the home directories, I get a "network path was not found" when I put in the \\domain.com\dfs\sharename full path. BUT if I put in the same exact path in AD Users and Computers, it works fine. Any ideas?

What happens if you enter it in as \\domain instead of the \\domain.com?

Same error. The reason I was putting in the full domain name, is because we're logged into an NT4 domain, and I'm using Hyena to administer users in a trusted/trusting Active Directory domain. Sometimes we have problems resolving back and forth if we don't use a fqdn. I just tried again with \\domain.com\dfs\tshomes$\%username% and it worked this time. It seems to be very intermittent. (It worked once last week too).
