  • Terminal Server Profiles & Printer Management

Hi! I was wondering if Hyena can help me with the following issue.

I need to change the names of our printer queues. We have users using their own mandatory terminal server profile, while others use a generic (shared) terminal server profile. My problem is finding out which user or profiles to update once I change the name of the printer queue.

Is there a way for me to find out (with our without Hyena) which terminal server profiles are mapped to specific printer queues?

THanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Sorry, but Hyena can't help here, and I don't know what can. The printer connections are stored in each user's local registry on each machine, so its really hard to get to. You might want to consider attaching the users to the printers in a logon script, that way you can centrally control it just by modifying the script file.

    Sorry...

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but check out PMP Bridge by Tricerat. You can map specific printers to users accounts or workstations or groups on Terminal Server. http://www.tricerat.com.
