  • Eport NTFS permissions on Directorys v8.5

I swear I was running these types of reports before but since it has been several months and a couple upgrades. I can't seem to get my reports to run properly.

I want to run an export against a file server. Not sure if DFS is causing the issue or not. I want to scan against \\server\dfs and only go about three directory's down.

Server selected in the right pane, select exporter from selected objects.
My Export Configuration settings are Windows NT/Local Groups, Security Access and File/Directories.

Click on the first export I have the Export Groups checked with the output file name. I also have the only export information for groups listed in this file.

Second export security access which has the Export Security information checked with path name filed in. I have the shares, hidden shares, admins shares, include & file and directories checked. I also checked Only export information for users/groups listed in this file.

Third export File/Directory export template had \\server\dfs and I have tried the hidden share names as well. Set to scan directories only with 12 deep.

    Results
NT/Local Groups txt file is blank (except header row)
File/Directory txt file is blank (except header row)
File/Directory just shows the hidden shares root and nothing more.

I'm lost because this should work.

For this one it's probably best to send us screenshots of those configuration screens:

Re: Eport NTFS permissions on Directorys v8.5

The problem was that I was specifying the server name in the File/Directory settings.

Third export File/Directory export template had \\server\dfs and I have tried the hidden share names as well. Set to scan directories only with 12 deep.

Change to \DFS as the server is already selected. Thanks Chuck
