  • View direct members only

This is probably real simple but I have not been able to find where to set the fields. Basically I need to customize the search results when I select a group, then select view direct members only.

In Hyena those fields can't be changed as they are hard-coded. What you can do, though, is select the members in right-hand window then right-click and choose Query Active Directory and run one of the user queries there.

That works great but one more question, I am also trying to list all group memeberships in the query for each user. I have selected "member of" and added to the Query Directory Attributes but it only displys one group?

The main problem with using MemberOf in the right-hand window is the limitation of 255 characters in fields there. Test to see if all groups are shown by using the Export to Microsoft Excel option under the Tools menu and check to see what is being output there.

Yes, Exporter Pro has a User Group Membership export. Select the users you want in Hyena then go to Tools->Exporter Pro->Export From Selected Objects, click Settings and enable User Group Membership under Active Directory(Users,Groups).

Well you finally made me start using Exporter Pro. I was reluctant in the past because I not only didn’t understand it but just didn’t have time to learn another tool. I would cheat and just copy and paste into Excel then manipulate the data. Thanks for the basic directions, I stumbled through it and created the query, it works GREAT.
