Searching security events

Hi,

I am not very good at this, but I'll try to explain:

I'm trying to find a way to search through the entries in a security event log on my file server.

When I open a security event, the lowermost box will show details of the object that has been opened - and also the path and filename of the file that has been acccessed.

What I am trying to do is to search this, so that I can find a file that has been deleted and find out who and when did it.

The question is: how can I go about doing this?

You can use Hyena's Filter Events for that. You can right-click on your server or selection of servers and choose Events->Filter Events. Choose the log you want to search. In the box "Description contains this phrase" enter in the name of the file you are looking for and click OK.

I was searching the wrong log all this time...
