  • User, Name, OU

Hey All, hopefully an easy one for you. We're trying to do a monthly report for HR showing user Display Name, Employee Number, UseraccountControl, and OU. I can get the first three under Detailed User with no problem, but I can't find a way to export OU as a sortable field. ADSpath is close, but it's not sortable.

Can someone help me figure this out? It's noob, I know, but any help is appreciated!

    It's AD2003/Hyena 6.7

    Re: User, Name, OU

There isn't an AD attribute for the container a given object is in, which is why you don't see it in the attribute list. Ideally, we would have a symbol you could add like "%OBJECT_CONTAINER%" or something, but its complicated to add something to a query that isn't there. One idea is to insert the attribute 'canonicalname' into the query. If you don't see it in the 'General Directory Attributes' list, you can manually insert it. It might give you a different format for the path.

Canonical name does exactly what I want. Thank you very much!
