Exporter is not Active Directory aware, so this is probably why you might be having this problem. I am not sure if the NT functions used by Exporter will return groups as members.

Exporter Pro can perform this, plus export nested group members.

Let us know what you mean by Exporter Pro not being scriptable. Both tools rely on text-based .INI files and have command line support.

I am using exporter.exe and an associated .ini file to export group members. The "member" section of the .ini file looks like:

ExportMembers=1
ExportMemberFile=a real file name
ExportDomainGlobalMembers=1
ExportDomainLocalMembers=1
ExportServerLocalMembers=0
ExportWorkstationLocalMembers=0

It works like a charm except that it doesn't export the group names as members, only the users. I don't need the members of the nested groups, but do need the names of the groups themselves. I don't want to use ExporterPro since it cannot be scripted.

Is there a fix for this?
