  • Disk space reports

    Hello,

I want to create a report for a number of servers listed in Hyena. I want to be able to report the percentage of disk space. I also want to exclude a number of these servers. I can see that you can skip servers in a list but the file type is DAT.

Can i create one of these?

Once i create the list i would like to automate this every morning

    Re: Disk space reports

The files are just text files with .DAT extension.

Since you want to automate this you'll need to use Exporter Pro because it can be scheduled.

        Re: Disk space reports

The easiest way to do this is to select servers in Hyena, then go to Tools->Exporter Pro->Export Selected Objects. After you run it you can look at the properties it put for each of the objects selected.

            Re: Disk space reports

Exporter Pro has a command line syntax of:

            stexport.exe /CONFIG=path_to_your_ini_file

You can put that in a batch file and schedule it using Windows Task Scheduler.

              Re: Disk space reports

when i try to run the batch file i get the following error:

Missing object file setting in config file. The object file path and name must be set under configuration -> export Properties -> file locations

I have looked for "file locations" tab but it does not seem to be there.

              thanks

Go ahead and send details of what you've setup (screenshots may help too) to [email protected].

                  Hello,

I think i have it working now with one last issue. i am running the batch file and a splash scrren appears and wont run the report.

i need to prove this working without any problems before my managers will agree to purchase this tool.

                  can this be disabled?

                  thanks

Unfortunately only a key can disable that message.
