  • How to get a report of DNS & WINS configuration

I am new to Hyena and I tried the Exporter feature, but can't get the info I need.

How do I get the DNS & WINS configuration of all servers in my Domain.

I don't think you can. Microsoft never created an interface for getting this information. It might be somewhere in AD, but I've never seen it. If you can find it in AD, such as in the Configuration container or another location, I can tell you how to get to it. But I doubt Microsoft did that. WINS used to be stored in a Microsoft Access database (I am not making that up)

I gues you I did not state my question correctly.

In Hyena, I can go to the properties of the a server and go to the network tab. I can see my IP configuration including WINS & DNS.

Instead of going through one by one, I want to create a report that will have the network configuration.

      Thanks

Oh, THAT information. That comes from the registry. To scan multiple computers, use Exporter Pro. The easiest way is to multi-select them in Hyena, select Tools->Exporter Pro->Export from Selected Objects, then configure an export to get what you want. YOu want the "Network Settings" export which gives you this same information.
