  • NTFS Permissions for specific folder

Sorry for the newbie nature of this question, but how do I get a permissions report for a specific folder on a share?

    TIA

View Shares on the computer you are interested in and find the directory you want, then right-click and choose More Functions->View NTFS Security.

Wow, I feel stupid. Should have been able to figure that out myself. Thanks!

I do have another question though, is it possible to add columns to the results of the NTFS security screen? Specifically, it looks like the Member column lists the active directory User Logon Name field, and I'm wondering if it would be possible to add the Name field? Our company uses employee ID# as logon name rather than the employee's actual name and this makes the report hard to decipher for management. I hope this makes sense....

Unfortunately it's not possible to add fields to that view.
