  • IP Address info from all Domain Member servers

    Hi all

Firstly, apologies for the cross post. It was an accident.

I'm running Hyena 7.0 'B' against one of my domains. I'm trying to pull the IP address information (ip, subnet, gateway) for example from all the servers. They are all windows 2000 or windows 2003.

I'm running Hyena under the domain/enterprise admin account, however it only seems to get some of the ip addresses of some of the servers, not all.

It doesnt say 'Access denied' when the export runs, it just doesnt show up in the txt file it creates.

Any ideas why it would get some servers, not all? I have about 300 I need to get the info for.

    Cheers

    Andy

Re: IP Address info from all Domain Member servers

Ok, I think I've figured out why. The problem is 95% of my servers are HP DL360's G4 and all using the built in 'teaming' function of the NICs. This creates a virtual NIC that the IP details are assigned to. I dont think hyena can pull the information from the teamed 'virtual' NIC.

The 2 real NIC's dont have any IP details assigned to them

Would this make sense and/or does anyone know of a way out of it to get it to work?

    Cheers

    Andy

That sounds correct because those cards store their information in a different location. What you can try is using WMI instead.
