  • Blank table name

I just installed Hyena 6.7 demo and when choosing 'generate report', the table name does not appear. For example, if I type Computers in the table name, the database opens and all of the computer information appears, but in the table, not the report like it should. I have converted the database to Access 2003 with no luck. I am running Hyena on Windows XP SP2 with all current patches except IE7 - still on IE6.

    Thanks,

    Steve D.

    Re: Blank table name

Actually that is the way it works under Active Directory. There are no 'canned' reports for AD data. When you use the Generate Report function, if there is no matching report it will have a blank table name. Enter in a unique name and it will send the data to the database creating a table by that name.

From there you can use the Access Query Wizard and Reporting Wizard to create reports on the data.

And I thought the purpose of this tool was to make my job easier....

Not only do I have to convert the obsolete database it ships with, I have to create my own reports for AD data too?
