Event log and ExporterPro

Hi,
I'm using Hyena 6.7D and ExporterPro 2.0B and was trying to create a report for 50 Windows server event logs.
It create a csv file, thank you for the great tool, but the file has some unnecessary lines.
Could you please tell me how we can create one like we do in Hyena's right window, Ctrl-a to select all items, then copy to csv file?
Could you also tell me how we can filter to exclude some specific events as we can do with Hyena?

Exporter Pro does not currently support exporting event logs, so I'm a little confused with how you are exporting this information. Hyena can get and filter event log information for multiple computers at the same time, but if you event logs are large, this can take some time.

Let me know how you are getting the event log information now, and where the 'extra lines' are appearing. You can copy any portion of the contents of the right window in Hyena to a file or clipboard. For large collections, its best to go straight to a file.

I enable Event Log of WMI Query Template.
The part of exported file looks like below:

These extra lines are probably caused by CR/LF characters in the event message. Unfortunately, Hyena does not control this information returned by WMI.

You might be able to get good results using Hyena directly to get the event log information.

First, assuming you want the event description, you need to add it to the display. Doing this will slow down the event retrieval, so if you don't need it normally, you might want to remove it from the display when you are done. To add the event description, select Tools->Settings->Display, change the Display Mode to 'Events' and add the Description to the columns to display.

After that, display your computers in the right window in any way that you want, then multi-select as many computers as you want to. As a test, I would just do a couple at first. Right click, select Events->Filter Events, and select the options that you want.

Tip: The event log list is built dynamically from the registry. When multiple computers are selected, Hyena needs to pick one of the computers as its reference for the event log list. The first selected computer is used to build this event log list.

When the event log entries are displayed, you can copy them to the clipboard or file with Control-A, then Control-C.
