  • Exporter Pro Log

I am trying to create a LOG file for an export using exporter pro (v 1.8.1); however the LOG file is blank (O KB).

I'm going to Export Options --> Output Tab. Checked Enable File Logging and specified path in Log File Name.

    Any ideas?

As long as you have the options checked to log either failures or successes you should get something. Are you able to upgrade to the latest version?

Both success and failure options are checked. Same thing happens with Exporter Pro v2.0.

        What information are you exporting?

          Re: Exporter Pro Log

I'm exporting last logon information for an audit report.

The export is run through the stexport command line in a batch file with a scheduled task.

But, I need a log file created each time the export runs for verification.

It appears that AD exports are not logged, but we should be able to add this functionality. Would you need this right away, such as in a patch?

That would be great if you can do it! Thanks.

Sorry for the delay. I'll post a patch later this evening.

                  Thanks

                    Re: Exporter Pro Log

                    The patch is located at:
                    http://www.systemtools.com/download/step20c.zip

Just replace the stexport.exe in the step20c.zip file that you have in your installation directory.

Let me know if this addresses this issue.

                    Thanks

                      Re: Exporter Pro Log

Same thing... a 0KB export.log file. I replaced with EXE file with STEXPORT.EXE under Exporter Pro version 1.8.2.

Exporting with either GUI or command line still shows blank log file...

Does it work on your end?

Download the file again and try it one more time.

Give us details on what you are doing now. I've tested this version that kstanush put up there several times and it works fine for me every time.

It's v2.0 'c', and I'm running Detailed User under Active Directory exports.

Ok, when I replace the STEXPORT.EXE file from the ZIP file and run the program, I still see Exporter Pro as v1.8.2...
