How get report of event log?

I need to get a report of the audit failures in the security events log. I tried highlighting the events in Hyena and going to Tools, Exporter Pro, Export Selected Objects and I get the error:

"Exporer Pro can only export from selected domains, computers, printers, or Active Directory objects. Select one or more of these object types to use the "Export Selected Objects...' function."

So how can I export this information? And I am trying to get a report that shows the contents of each event, not just a listing, so the content can be read in the report. So just copying it to the clipboard doesn't work because then I only get the listing.

Turn on Description under Tools->Settings->Display for Events. You'll have to re-filter your events, then copy the right window to either the clipboard or a delimited text file.

You can also use the WMI->Event Log query in either Hyena or Exporter Pro.

Thanks. Forgive my ignorance but what does "WMI" mean?
