  • Hyperthreading & Dual Core Processors reporting as multiple processors

When displaying the properties of newer workstations and servers with processors that either support hyperthreading or have dual cores, they are being reported as having multiple processors.

Can the reporting be corrected to show:
    a) The correct number of processors
    b) A information field added to the reporting that will identify the processor as either hyperthreading or dual core.

Hyena does not get this information, but rather its reported by Windows this way. The only places that I know of where processor information is shown is on the System tab on the computer Properties dialog or through WMI.

The 'System' tab is acquired from the registry, so if you need the key to see what is there, let us know if this is where you are seeing this information.

WMI is built into Windows and returns data from various sources. If you are using WMI, let us know the class that you are using. You might be able to select a different class to get results that you prefer better.
