How to report permission changes through a tree

Is there a "simple" way to generate a report on where the permissions change going through a tree structure?

I've moved into a network adminstrator role of several existing servers and want to generate a report listing where permissions change and what the change at that directory is.

You might experiment with the free DumpSec utility to see if it will give you what you need. It has an option to only show information for objects that have permissions that don't match the parent directory.
