I've been trying to run some reports using Exporter Pro but it always seems to report back 'Ping failed' error messages for about half the servers in our OU, even though if I manually ping them in DOS they respond fine. Is there anything I need to do to Exporter Pro so it doesn't get so many ping failed error messages?

Re: Ping failed messages
One thing you can try is to change the Ping options on the General tab of Exporter Pro's export options.
If it is currently set to Raw Sockets, try the ICMP.dll option. If on the dll option, try the other.
You can also try checking the box above that to use Netbios names instead of DNS names.
Let us know if that makes any difference.

Re: Ping failed messages
Are you using Export Selected Objects from Hyena to get to Exporter Pro? If so, in Hyena go to Tools->Active Directory and see if the box is checked to Use DNS Computer Paths. If so, uncheck this, then select your computers and run the Export Selected Objects again.

Re: Ping failed messages
In Exporter Pro, on the General tab is an option to Use Netbios name for remote computer access. Check, or uncheck that box if it is already checked, then run your export again. If that doesn't work, send some screen shots of the steps you are taking to [email protected].
