  • How to export all Groups and their Users

Hi, I am new at Hyena 5.7, too.

I would like to make an Excelsheet, that contains all groups and its members.

    Like

    Group1 Group2
    User a User x
    User B User y
    User C User z

    and so on.

    How to do this automatically?

    Thank you.

If this is a Windows 2000 domain you can simply select your groups in Hyena's right window, then right-click and choose View Group Members. This will display them in the right window, and you can do a Ctrl-a, Ctrl-c to open the Copy List Window and save the data to a delimited text file.

You can also export this information using the Exporter Pro.

Yes, thanks for your quick reply.

But We have around 50 Groups with different members.
I would really like to it in a rush.
Klicking 50 times the same stuff is very boresome.

      Are there any other solutions?

      Thank you :-)

You can select all 50 groups in the right window, then view the group members for all 50 of them in the right window at once. You can sort by group or by member.

            I got it :-)))

            cool!

            --------------

            Hi,

Well, but how do I get the Excelsheet in the following format:
            [Group=Gx] [Member=Mx]

            G1 G2 G3 G4 G5 ...
            M1 M2 M3 M4 M5 ...
            M6 M7 M8 M9 M10 ...
            M11 M12 M13 M14 M15 ...

            and so on

I got the table as u said. it would be helpful, if I could export this table completely.
The colums in the table have the following names

            cn,display name,description,class,pre-w2k name,groupname

            Thank you

I'm not sure of an easy way to do that in Excel. That is the only format you can save the data out in. You can delete the columns you don't want, but will have to work with Excel to get that format.
