  • Exporting by subnet?

I guess we have a basic question if there is a way to set up an export by subnet instead of domain. Most of our domains are in multiple sites thru multiple subnets. We are looking at discovery per location and searching at an assigned subnet would greatly ease the confusion in discovery. Please let me know if it is possible, and if it is how to set it up.

    Thank you,

    Re: Exporting by subnet?

Hyena gets its list of computers from the domain, and not by IP or by subnets. The only option might be for you to create a file with all possible IPs in a subnet range and import that file into a grouping in Hyena. From there you can see which computers respond to queries.

If you want to try this, send an email to [email protected] and we'll tell you how you can do this.

Has there been a solution with this? I have clients with multiple sites but the same domain and they are on different subnets. We would like to be able to see the information by subnet.

Or is there a way to simply separate the information by site or OU in Active Directory?

You can always export by AD OU, but I don't know what you want to export, etc. But yes, you can export by AD container or OU, or any combination of containers.
