  • Reporting Service Packs

When I run a report using Hyena 5.7 to find Service pack levels. The report is empty - headings only. Any suggestions as to what is wrong.

    Re: Reporting Service Packs

Give us all the details of what steps you are taking to run this, what options you have configured, etc.

Typically, a blank output file indicates that it isn't finding any computers to export data from.

      Re: Reporting Service Packs

I was also concerned that it couldnt find any PCs as our PCs are in an OU not the computers container. So I have selected the PCs in 2 ways 1. Via Containers/OUs and also 2.Via computers
Using Exporter Pro I have selected Active Directory, Object Type filter- Computers or containters/OUs
Using all or some of the 'Computer Attributes'. I think I have tried about all the combinations but still no output

Try another export but using the Registry->Hot Fixes & Patches export rather than the Active Directory export you are using.

Does this give you data in your output file?

          Re: Reporting Service Packs

I can get hotfixes successfully but isnt that getting the information from the PCs while service packs is coming from AD? I can get the Service Pack information from each of the PCs individually in Hyena but not using Exporter pro. I also tried to get SP information for PCs in the computers container with the same results- headings only

            Re: Reporting Service Packs

Send a copy of your ini file and DirectoryQueries.CFG to [email protected] so we can better see what you have configured.

There is a service pack entry in AD, but this information can also be retrieved directly from each computer, and is included in the output of the Hot Fixes and Patches export I had you run.
