  • Multi-String in Registry Report

    Hi,

I am trying get a report off a group of Windows 2000 machines and the part of the registry is a Multi-String. it is actualy the page file size and location

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management\PagingFiles

If there is more than one part then it only reports the first part.

    Eg if the value is
    "C:\pagefile.sys 768 1536 D:\pagefile.sys 768 1536"

then the report only specifies "C:\pagefile.sys 768 1536"

    Missing the part "D:\pagefile.sys 768 1536"

    Any ideas???

    Thanks

    Martin

    Re: Multi-String in Registry Report

I'll take a look at this and get back to you. What should happen is the secondary delimiter ('^' by default), should be used to separate each value.

Actually, this is not really a bug but an oversight : we did not have support for reading REG_MULTI_SZ values in Exporter Pro. This has been fixed and will be part of Exporter Pro v1.5 (beta) which should be available by the end of next week.
