  • Export the domain user/group

When i'm use the old version of exporter i can extract the user and group from the domain without scan the all computer.
With the new version i can't find how to do that.
When i'm select user and group and start the the extraction, the tools scan all computers from the domain. i try the filter option but without success.
    Ps: it's for a domain Windows2000

What export options (shares, services, etc.) did you select ? Unless you are only exporting Active Directory information, the computers will be retrieved from the domain so that other information can be exported. This is normal.

Before all tanks a lot for the speed of your answer.
My scope is only the extraction of the domain users and domain groups, i don't need the local user and group from the workstation and from the server. (we have around 2000 workstations and 700 servers. It's to long to extract all.
I have try 2 solutions: 1) Local/nt groups and local/nt users 2)AD with groups, detailed User, Group Membership.

Since you have a Windows 2000 domain, you should use an AD exporting template to export the user and group information. Make sure that you have turned OFF all of the other exporting options if you don't need to export any workstation information.

Make sure that you have added your domain as a Windows 2000/2003 object. For starters, on the Configuration Properties->Active Directory dialog, enable the Detailed Users template, and run the export. Once you see how it works, move on to the other templates.

If you still see workstation information being retrieved, send your export configuration (.INI) file to [email protected]
