for over 2 weeks, when running a report to find diskspace and then export to and excel file it now repeats the same entries 4 times. It has worked perfectly for years.

Give us more details on how you are running this, etc.

      Thanks for getting back.

We are running Active Directory in Native mode. NT server, logged with administration rights. Reports on servers over differing subnets and across leased lines.

How are you running the reports? Are you using File->Export, or are you selecting the computers in the right window and choosing Drive Space?

First of all highlighting all the servers, right click and drive space.

After that has finished, printing, then tools>run report. When in access, file and export and then exporting it to disk as an XLS file

Re: Reporting to an Excel file

When the data is listed in the right window do you see duplicates there?

When you run report, try selecting (if you aren't already) the option to Overwrite Existing Data.

Hyena takes the data from the right window, creates a text file, then an Access macro takes over from there. So, if you are getting duplicate information from this process, either there is data in the Access table already, or something in your export/import to Excel is going wrong.

It was as simple as that, to be honest I hadn't even seen the append option.

Many thanks for all your help and speed of response

              thanks again
