  • Last Logon

Since upgrading to 5.2 the "Last Logon" field seems to have been dropped from the Userdetails report. Was this intentional or am I doing something wrong? I use this report to filter out inactive accounts.

    Re: Last Logon

Is this for a NT or 2000 domain?

Nothing changed for Windows NT, and if this is for 2000, you can right-click on All Users and choose Tabular Views->Users(Detailed General) to see the Last Logon information.

If you don't see it when you run that query, send me an email and I'll give you instructions on how to add it.

      Re: Last Logon

This is for a 2000 Domain. I have selected the correct tabular view but the last logon does not appear in the view nor does the last logoff. If you open the Userdetails report in design view the title is there but it isn't there under the Tables design view. If you add it it just disappears when you run the report.

        Re: Last Logon

Go to File->Manage Object View->Queries, select Users (Detailed General) In the lower right find Last Logon and click Add, then OK. Run the query again.

            Re: Last Logon

One more question. I created a new Tabular View just to show Display Name and Last Logon. I then created a new table in Access to reflect this and set the field to date then short date in the format. As soon as I run the report it changes to a text field and throws in the time aswell. Is there any way around this as I export the data to an Excel spread sheet and sort on Lastlogon. With the time in there it does not sort in full date order.

              How about TRUE last login?

                Re: Last Logon

This will only pull data from one controller. To get this you would need to right-click on an account and choose View Logon Information and then click the Check All Controllers button.

                  Re: Last Logon

How about doing it for the whole domain or how about for one OU?

                  Thanks

                    Re: Last Logon

For that you can use our free utility called DumpSec at http://www.systemtools.com/free_frame.htm

You can't specify an OU, but it can be used for reporting all user accounts in your domain and will query all domain controllers if you check the Show Last 'True' Logon check box.
