Is it possible to set the Expoter tool to use a local DC in Active directory, other than the PDC emulator? Our AD deployment is global, and the PDC emulator is a long ways away. I would like to speed up the export process. Also, the web site states that Hyena can automatically keep an access database updated, however, I do not see documentation on that. Thanks!

    Re: Exporter options

The best solution for this is to use the command line version of exporter.exe located in your Hyena directory.

    The syntax would be:

    exporter.exe .\export.ini domain computer

Where computer will be whichever DC you want to use.

On your other question, Hyena ships with an Access database that can be used for reporting. It is only populated when you view data in Hyena's right window and choose Tools->Run Report. This only puts that data to the database, and there is no way of automating that process.

You can run this from or against any computer, but you want Domain information (users, groups) you'll need to target a domain controller for the information.

i tried to run it on a member server and i don't receive any of the printer information but i can recieve it on a domain controller. Are there any known limitations for server types.

This information is not type-specific. Send more details on how you have it configured and what is not happening to [email protected].

I apologize everything worked fine; I forgot that queues were moved to a virtual share.
