  • Report for the group listing

I usually; create Global group first. I then add the global group to a local group of a file servers, some time file server resides in a resource domain. Now I have over 500 global groups.
Is there a report that Hyena provides to find out what Global group is a member of Local group of which member servers or which resource domains?

You can use the Export Members function under File->Export->Members. This will produce a delimited text file of all groups and their members. You can then open the output file with Excel and sort to see what groups contain the group you are looking for.

We also wanted to add that if this is for Windows 2000, Hyena 5.0 now has the ability to view Group Members for multiple groups.

You would select your groups, then right-click and choose View Group Members.

My objective is to obtain information about Global Groups being belong to what local groups. I am getting this informaation by going to a file server and accessing local group where I find one of the Domain Global Group as a member. I then go to Hyena 4.7 to get members of that Global Group. Which is great! As you can tell it is little harder for me to go through all the files servers to find out what global group I need to be working on. If I could get a list of Global groups where it shows member of what other local group.
