  • (Sorry another question) Can Exporter provide event logs?

I see that in Hyena you can right click on a server and go to Filter Event Logs, is there any way to use exporter to get event log information? I would like to set up a batch file to pull this information down from my servers.

Exporter can't but we have a free utility called DumpEvt that might work for you:

Thanks again for your quick responses. I pulled down DumpEVT and was pretty successful intergrating it into my batch files.

Is ther any way to tell DumpEVT to only grab errors or warnings? By default it is pulling every record in the event log, and its about 10MB per day

I didn't see this feature in the help file but I figured I would ask.

Unfortunately that is the only way it will dump records. By default it will only dump records that are new since the last time it was run, instead of dumping all records each time.

Yea I was only getting the new records, but I was running it on 73 servers, so it was still gigantic This is still much better than I was before so thanks again
