Given a list of user IDs, tell me their groups

We use the multi-master /resource domain model for our NT4 domains.

Is there a way to use Hyena to generate a report that displays what local group membership a domain user has on their resource domain.

Today I use the resource kit tool command, FINDGRP, in a command like: findgrp dom1 dom2\userID01

That gives me the group membership on the accounts domain and the resource domain.

Can Hyena produce this information in an Excel format?

We are migrating to Active Directory and need to reACL our resource domain local security groups and home folders. We pull in domain accounts into our local groups and home folders.

Ideas?

You should be able to use the Export Members function under File->Export->Members to do this. It will create a delimited text file of the groups and their members which you can open in Excel for further sorting and manipulation.

That is not what I am after. I don't need the membership of a local group.
I want to supply a list of user IDs to Hyena and have it tell me what each user has for local group memberships.

Hyena won't do this for you. The reason for exporting this file would be so you could open it with Excel and sort on Username.

This would allow you to find the users you need and be able to see what groups they are in. Or if you have a large list of users, you could pull your list and this file into Access and create a query joining the two and show you groups by user.

Unfortunately I don't know of any other way to do this.
