The export command. Does it just export everything into txt files, then we have to import it manually into the Access Database?

That is correct. Exporter will create delimited text files that you can import into Excel or Access for further reporting and sorting.

Is there a program that can export the information from Hyena direct to an Access or SQL database without having to do the txt file step?

You can use Hyena's built-in reporting functions to report to Access. You must first display the information that you want in Hyena's right window.

For example, for user information you can right-click on the Users object and choose View All User Details. After the information is displayed in the right window you can go to Tools->Run Report and Hyena will send that data to the Access database and open it in print preview mode.
