Re: Servers are listed under Computers Container
You can't add the computers to the Servers list as this list is generated dynamically by the Windows browse list. Microsoft does not have any significant way to tell a server from a workstation (All Windows computers are servers to a certain extent). The best way to have a 'Servers' list is to put your servers into an AD organizational unit.Kevin Stanush

Re: Servers are listed under Computers Container
I know you can't add computers to Servers, but I have the same issue and all my other Servers are in the Servers container.
How does Hyena know to put them into the Servers container. There has to be something that it looks for.
All my servers are Windows 2003 SP1.

Re: Servers are listed under Computers Container
In Hyena, there is a "Servers" container.
In AD I have an OU for Servers.
There are many servers in my Servers OU that are not showing up in Hyena's Servers container.
I want to generate a report in Hyena for all my Servers. Right now, I have to go to the "Computers" container and manually select my Servers.
If Hyena is using the Browse List to generate the Servers container, can you provide the setting(s) which qualify the computer to be in the Servers container ?

Re: Servers are listed under Computers Container
Right click on a computer, select Propeties->General. The checkboxes you see come from settings that the computer puts onto the browse list. The "Terminal Server" and "Windows Server" check boxes are the two that Hyena checks for putting into the "Servers" object under a domain. A lot of things have to happen right for the browse list to get this information, however. The two most likely things to verify is that the browser broadcast messages are not being blocked and that the browser service is running.Kevin Stanush
