On some list I notice the "Attrib" col will have a "C" or "A" listed but no documentation as to the meaning? Thanks.

    Re: Attrib

That shows you the attributes set on the files. Do a search on Google for windows file attributes and you should find a list of what each means.

      Re: Attrib

What I meant to say is that I could not find an (meaning) explanation as to why the C and A Attrib were assigned randomly after a task ran (not all computers show either after running the same task). Accordingly I understand that "A" is Archive but what is "C"? Also, the Attrib clears over time. --Ed

What display are you looking at ? The file/directory listing ? Or, something having to do with Scheduled Tasks ?

            Re: Attrib

OK, thanks; I was confused on what this had to do with scheduled tasks. Here are the symbols:

            R - Readonly
            H - Hidden
            A - Archive
            S - System File
            C - Compressed
            E - Encrypted
