  • does anyone have a dumpevt error list?

    Does anyone happen to have the errors returned by dumpevt and descriptions? If not can people post what they have? Ones I think I know are as follows and please correct me if I'm wrong

    rc=53 network path not found
    rc=1314 Permision Denied.

    anyone have any clue what rc=1726 means?

    That one is "The remote procedure call failed" and is typically due to communication problems of some sort.

        RC=5 is an access denied message.

          I'm getting rc=8 trying to open the event file that looks fine (name, permissions). Anyone know what rc=8 signifies?

          Thanks,

            Error 8 is "not enough memory". This error is not usually seen and technically should never be seen. What are you trying to do ?

            Also, the error codes are all found in the winerror.h file which can be found on the internet, including here:

              Thanks for the answer. I was trying to open up a 1.5 Gig event file on my D: drive but my C: drive is mostly out of space. There's a bunch of RAM but with the C drive out of space, maybe it is trying to swap to disk or dom something with temp space?

                Let me know if there is another part of the error, or at what point it happens. I might be able to see what API is giving the error. The event processing is done by the Event service, so it might be the one returning this error.
