DumpSec wont connect

When using dumpsec to try and connect to a different domain, i get this error:

Error in processing, NetServerGetInfo status=x00000035

Experienced this problem in 2.8.2 and 2.8.5
My id is setup as a domain admin on that domain, any ideas as to why it wont connect?

That appears to be a network path not found error. Make sure that the computer name or ip address can be resolved. Can you manage this same computer in Hyena or some other utility to see if you have a name resolution problem ?

Thanks. The name is right since i was able to map to an admin share on the machine. It still wont connect with the host name to DumpSec but the ip address worked. I suppose i can use this as a work around for now - but any ideas why it wont connect with the host name?

If it won't connect with the hostname, but will with the ip address, then its a name resolution problem. I assume that you would have the same issue with any other remote management utility. Mapping a drive is a bit different.

You can try using a utility like rmtshare, for example, to see if it gets a similar error.
