List Printers on Windows 2003 server

Error: Unable to list printers \\servername, Error = 1722. The RPC server is unavaliable.

works on all other server os and pc os except Windows 2003 server.

Any ideas ?

Does this server have a large number of printers on it? If so, see if the link in the last post on this page helps:

I am sorry I did look through the Post and Tryed the suggestions and they did not work. This server only has 5 printers on it. I am having the same problme on all Windows 2003 server, none have more than 80 priners. If I install hyena local to a server it can report to it, but it can not report to other servers.

The RPC error is typically some sort of communication error. Beyond what I mentioned above, you should check to make sure you have the RPC service running, or you may have a name resolution issue of some sort. Possibly a problem with DNS or something along those lines.

If you can't find anything from this information, go to File->Manage Object View, click on your domain and send a screen shot of that to [email protected].

Ok I have found the Problem.. This server was not set up to be a print server, I went and added print serves for This server and all is good. I can now see the printers through Hyena

I don't understand this answer. What do you mean added print serves? I don't want the servers to be print servers and I want to abe able to see printers on these servers so how can I correct this error?
