Re: Unable to Connect to Registry of {computername}
It sounds like you are running into a communications issue. Hyena is requesting registry data from that computer, but Windows is failing to find it. It could also be that the Remote Registry service or RPC service is stopped.

Re: Unable to Connect to Registry of {computername}
Hi,
There are some servers that I cannot connect to from Hyene when I try to get the Properties. I get the error: "unable to connect to registry of \\%server%".
I checked the remote registry service, and it is started, I even restarted it just for good measures. I did the same with the RPC service.
The servers can be pinged and accessed through terminal services and remote desktops.
Other servers that are in the same OU, and get the same GPs, I can get their properties with no problem.
Thanks,
Said

Re: Unable to Connect to Registry of {computername}
Both services are running. I can access HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT and HKEY_USERS, but not HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. I also tried logging in as the Administrator. This is happening on the same two computers that I posted a question concerning no Schedule Tasks folder. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Originally posted by cmccullough:
