  • Basic questions (very basic)

I am very excited about Hyena. I come from a very strong Novell background and site and recently have been dropped into a situation where I manage about 15 servers at a small plant.
Is Hyena comparable to Bindview in that it will allow me to pull information like lists of shared drives- the groups with access - then allow me to grab the groups pullout the group owner and the members so I can easily have the owners do an audit of what users have access to their groups. I hope this makes scense.
#2 question-- any suggestions on quick ways to get up to speed on being able to get the most out of Hyena? or basic windows scripting
#3 What is the potential of me accidently causing great damage by exporting data from hyena to the report writer program?

Thanks for any suggestions on getting into this. I am hoping Hyena will be the answer to all my problems (one can always hope)

Hyena can report on share permissions as well as NTFS permissions. When viewing NTFS permissions there is an option to show the owner as well.

The best way is to use Hyena, go through the help file, and look through postings on this board. Beyond that if you have any questions you can send an email to [email protected].

This is a read-only function so there's no way to damage anything.
