Do you have any recommendations for WXP SP2 firewall settings so that Hyena is not blocked from accessing workstations?

Re: WXP SP2 Firewall
Enabling file and printer sharing through the firewall should be the main thing you'll need to do.
You'll need to use the following to get WMI working through it:
Go to the Command Prompt and type in:
Netsh firewall set service RemoteAdmin
According to Microsoft there is no way to set this through the GUI.

Re: WXP SP2 Firewall
There's a document on the MS site that allows for the manipulation of the file "NETFW.INF"
http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/e/ f/6efdbda6-ca9e-4122-9787-3fd7ca7d7f33/WFINF_Guide.doc
Setting certain registry keys within this file can allow for most firewall configuration settings to be set (but certainly not all).
In my testing of XP SP2, I've come to the realization that, even though my custom SP2 Admin install package disables (or "turns off") the firewall, there's still plenty of traffic being blocked.
I hope to continue this post with what else I find, but about 15-20% of my XP machines with SP2 are not fully managable with Hyena (or other tools).
More to come...I hope!

Re: WXP SP2 Firewall
Please keep us posted on what you find. We have found the information from Microsoft very limited on getting their MMC snapins to all work and the same firewall holes are needed for Hyena.Kevin Stanush
