Macros

Macros are completely foreign territory for me and I was wondering if someone could provide a good example of when and administrator would create a macro and why?
Also, if a basic walk through on how to do it would be great as well. I can't discern exactly what I need and where to start using the online HELP alone.

The Generate Macro function will create a batch file for you that you can then run to make changes to many objects at once.
