If using Windows NT, the filtering option would not add any performance enhancements, as NT does not support this. All of the users/computers would still have to be retrieved from the server.
The advantage to filtering then in Hyena using the right windows and the filter toolbar button is that you can change the filter at any time without re-retrieving the data.

It would be nice to select users/computers using wildacards:
Right click on Users... -> View User... -> Object Name -> xy*

I know about filtering the right Hyena pane, but for this I would have to list thousands of users/computers at first...
