Feature Request - Patch Query

Please add a feature where you can select a group of Windows servers & workstations, right-click, then choose something like Check for patch... and type in a Q article. Have an option to either show a list of those that have it or those that don't. It would also be nice to do the same for Service Pack level of all or selected machines. --Hmmm can anyone guess why I have this request.

If you search the Custom Tools forum on this board for the search term "HFNETCHK" you will find a discussion on how to do this for yourself easily.

I am doing something similar myself using the MBSA tool.

Thank you but to actually push patches we'll use SMS with the plugin. I just wanted to be able to generate a list at a certain SP level or that are missing a certain patch on 6200 machines.

Then you missed my post(s).

I posted the patch install script last, but before that is an IP Scan for HotFix script and a Domain Scan for HotFix script.

Deployment with SMS is a luxury you're lucky to have.

This poor man produces a poor-man SMS solution.

But the two scans produce what you need.

For all 6200 machines...

On one or 62 IP subnets...

On all of your domains...
