  • Synchronize Entire Domain

    What does this command do?
One of my servers was down and now does not show up under my domain tree...I've added it using Object Manager and can access everything, but would like it listed with my other servers.
    Does this command do that?
    Thanks!

No, this causes your domain controllers to sync their data.

The Servers folder in Hyena is built from the Windows Browse List. If one of your servers is missing from the browse list it won't show up in this folder.

Since you just brought it back online, you might wait a few hours to let your browse list update itself.

It's been up for 5 days, so that's not the problem.

You'll need to troubleshoot the cause for it not appearing on your browse list. It can be due to the way your network is segmented, or something else such as if the 'hide from browse list' option has been used on that computer.

Even a bug(?) in Windows can be the reason. Is the servercomment on your server (not in the AD!) longer than 48 characters?

Found the problem. It's the way the network was configured. Thanks to all who responded.
