another suggestion for AD integration

I was pleasantly suprised to see that you incorporated my last suggestion so quickly!! (the UPN suffixes). Thank you!
now I have one more suggestion... How about incorporating the Manager and direct reports? This is a function we use here in my office and I still have to go to the ADU&C snap-in to add/change those. It is located on the organization tab in that snap-in...
How about it? maybe for beta "C"???

I'll look into Direct Reports. Never really looked at that. We did add "Managed By" to this beta already...its on the Object Tab for users and groups (same dialog for consistency).

the "managed by" that you have on the objects page does not relate to what I need. What you have there relates more to who manages the OBJECT not who manages the USER. if you look at the ADU&C snapin on the organization tab you will see the "manager" and under that the "direct reports"... this is what I am looking for..

Actually, they are the same. I did not realize that the manager and direct reports were inter-related. What I will probably have to do at some point is to add a "Manage" or "Manager" or some new dialog tab that I can then put the managed by information on, along with Direct Reports for users. Hyena shares the user organization tab with contacts and OUs, so we have a problem. The ManagedBy attribute is just an LDAP directory standard that lets you indicate who manages a directory object...it has no effect on security. So, you can go to the Object tab and see it and change it there, and it will have the same effect as modifying it in ADU&C. You can also look at the DirectReports by right clicking on a user, selecting Listing Views->User All. Or, add Direct Reports to one of the user directory queries.
