  • Unable to set security descriptor for user "x"

In my environment, I have a regular user account and a separate Domain Admins account. I'm using Win2K Pro on my desktop, and I've created a shortcut to Hyena (v2.3c) using the "runas" command in the target string as follows:

    C:\WINNT\system32\runas.exe /profile /user:balserj "D:\Program Files\Hyena\HYENA.EXE"

Hyena runs great, except when I add new users, I get the above error. The accounts are still created with the appropriate properties and group memberships, but the error is annoying and I want to make sure I don't have any unseen problems.

This is typically caused by incorrect settings in the Home Dir Templates. Please send a screen shot of your template definition under Tools->Settings->Home Dir to [email protected]
