Home Directory Shares

Ok, so I've read all the threads regarding this and yet I'm still unable to create a hidden share for my users home directories. The folder gets created, but not the hidden share or share permissions.

The template I'm using is currently setup like this:
"New Home Directory Mask:
\\server\e$\users\%username%
"Share Directory Local Mask"
e:\users\%username%
"Share Directory Remote Mask"
\\server\e$\users\%username%$

If I remove the $ from %username%$ in the Shared Directory Remote Mask and put it in %username% variable in the New Home Directory Mask like I've read about. All that does is add and $ to the end of the users folder it does not create the hidden share....

Any help suggestions ?

Change the information to this:

New Home Directory Mask:
\\server\%username%$

"Share Directory Local Mask"
e:\users\%username%

"Share Directory Remote Mask"
\\server\e$\users\%username%
