Update of home directory name

If I select a user ID and rename it, sometimes I get prompted if I want the home directory renamed to match. Most of the time it does not prompt me. How do I ensure that every time a user ID is renamed that I am prompted about renaming the home directory? Thanks.

You should always be shown the rename dialog, but the rename will only happen if
either the profile or home directory path contain the username.

They always do in fact contain the username, yet for somereason, its hit or miss. Anything you can suggest that I check?
