Re: Propogating permissions to home folder subdirectories
Nothing changed there, but it does pass variables to that batch file. Search Help for post-user batch procedures and you'll find a list of the variables.

Is this possible now in the latest version? I am in the process of migrating users to a new SAN and am going to be reseting the NTFS permissions with Hyena. Just trying to figure out how to flow the rights.
Question, the Template Definition has a line for "After creating home directory, run".
Does Hyena pass a varible here that I could take advantage of? Like a script to flow the rights of that folder in which it was just setting?
Thanks

That's would be a good feature for the next version. Now I have to use the Windows tools for several hundred users.

Hyena's security settings only apply to the directory it is modifying, and won't affect the sub-directories beneath that point.

Propogating permissions to home folder subdirectories
For multiple existing users in an NT4 and AD, is there a way to set user home folder permissions to propogate to subdirectories? In Tools > Setings > Home Dir, I have set the user home directory security settings to overwrite existing security settings, but these settings don't seem to propogate to subdirectories.Tags: None
