  • Propogating permissions to home folder subdirectories

For multiple existing users in an NT4 and AD, is there a way to set user home folder permissions to propogate to subdirectories? In Tools > Setings > Home Dir, I have set the user home directory security settings to overwrite existing security settings, but these settings don't seem to propogate to subdirectories.

Hyena's security settings only apply to the directory it is modifying, and won't affect the sub-directories beneath that point.

That's would be a good feature for the next version. Now I have to use the Windows tools for several hundred users.

Is this possible now in the latest version? I am in the process of migrating users to a new SAN and am going to be reseting the NTFS permissions with Hyena. Just trying to figure out how to flow the rights.

Question, the Template Definition has a line for "After creating home directory, run".
Does Hyena pass a varible here that I could take advantage of? Like a script to flow the rights of that folder in which it was just setting?

        Thanks

Nothing changed there, but it does pass variables to that batch file. Search Help for post-user batch procedures and you'll find a list of the variables.
