Home Folder Setting Change

Hello,
We are trying to clear the home folder setting for a number of our users here.

When i highlight the users and go to the profile page, i check the button for local path, but it doesnt seem to change the setting.

Is this not possible? Or could this be incorporated?

Select Local Path and then put ~DEL in the box beside it.
