  • moving user data directories

I am in process of migrating over 9k users home directories. I understand that Hyena will do this well. Current standard is
\\server\username I dont use the % variable and just need to change the server name. Is it possible to do this instead of typing the server name over 9000 times ? All user directories have been migrated to the new server with DoubleTake and permissions have been set. just need the global change for the \\server changed and nothing else

    Much Thanks

Since you don't need Hyena to create the shares or directories for you, then select your users in Hyena's right window, right-click and choose Properties.

On the Profile tab just enter in the new server name and click OK. If it prompts you for a home directory template, choose (None).

Test this on 3 or 4 users to make sure it works the way you want it to.
